Le Comptoir de la Pièce – The App That Digitizes Spare Parts Requests on Construction Sites
Client : Rami Tohmé
Visit the projectContext & Challenge
It's 7 AM. A machine breaks down on site. 🚧
A site manager stands in front of a grounded excavator. They need to find the
broken part — fast. So they dig through emails, scroll through SMS threads, try
to describe the part over the phone to a sales rep... and lose precious time while
the whole site grinds to a halt.
This is exactly what the clients of Le Comptoir de la Pièce experienced every
week — a specialized brand of Griset Matériel, with 30 years of expertise
in spare parts for heavy construction equipment.
Rami Tohmé had the expertise, the stock, the supplier network. What was missing?
A modern tool built for the field, allowing clients to request a quote directly
from their site, in minutes, without picking up the phone.
That's the app we built together. 🔧
An app built for working hands
The Le Comptoir de la Pièce app transforms the way construction professionals
order spare parts:
- 🏗️ Fleet management: register your machines with brand, model, year, and
serial number — no more hunting for this info with every new request - 📸 Visual requests: photograph the part to be replaced directly on site
and attach it to your quote request - ⚡ Fast quotes: requests are sent instantly to the Comptoir team, who
respond by email as quickly as possible - 🚨 Urgency level: flag whether the breakdown is halting your site so the
team can prioritize your request - 📋 Request tracking: all your active requests, visible at a glance
Available on iOS and Android, the app targets site managers, technicians,
equipment supervisors, and fleet managers — everyone for whom every minute of
downtime has a real cost.
"Rami presented us with a very concrete problem: his clients were losing time
and money because of an outdated ordering process. We loved this challenge.
Building something as simple as it is powerful for people who work really hard
on the ground — that's what drives us."

How we approached it
Our methodology for this project
Field Discovery & Needs Analysis
We immersed ourselves in the daily reality of construction teams: how they order parts, what blocks them, what frustrates them, and where time is lost. Rami gave us access to his customer base to understand real field needs.
UX Design Built for the Job Site
Every screen was designed to be used outdoors, with gloves on, in sun or rain. Clean interface, actions in 3 taps maximum, camera integrated at the heart of the request flow.
Flutter Development for iOS & Android
Built in Flutter for a consistent experience on both iPhone and Android. Camera integration, fleet management, request form with urgency level, and automated submission to the sales team.
App Store & Google Play Publication
Asset preparation, optimized store listings, GDPR privacy policy, and simultaneous submission to the App Store and Google Play Store.
Delivery & Onboarding
Training the Comptoir team on receiving and processing incoming requests, plus post-launch support for the first wave of user feedback.
