Context & Challenge

"Do you have this phone in stock?" — What if the answer was always yes? 📱

In Yaoundé, the electronics and mobile phone market is lively, competitive, and
passionate. But for Nassar, owner of OngolaPhone, one frustration kept coming back:
customers showing up for nothing, poorly tracked inventory, orders lost in WhatsApp
messages, and above all — potential customers in Douala, Bafoussam, and Kribi that
he simply couldn't reach from his physical store.

The product was there. The demand was there. The bridge was missing.

That bridge is what we built with OngolaPhone: a modern, fast e-commerce platform
designed for the Cameroonian market — its realities, its payment habits, and the
demand for a seamless mobile experience.

The OngolaPhone website lets customers:

Browse a full catalog: smartphones (Samsung, iPhone, Tecno, and more), tablets,
computers, accessories — everything the store carries, online
View detailed product pages: photos, specs, pricing, real-time availability
Order with ease: a simplified checkout flow built for users new to e-commerce
Get delivered anywhere in Cameroon: Yaoundé, Douala, and beyond

A back-office that puts control in one place 🎛️

On the management side, Nassar has a custom Django admin interface to:

Manage his product catalog and inventory with full autonomy
Create and update promotions without touching a single line of code
Track orders from validation to delivery
Analyze sales data and customer behavior

How we approached it

Our methodology for this project

Needs Analysis & Strategy

We spent time with Nassar understanding his business: top products, customer profiles, inventory constraints, and growth ambitions. This shaped the vision for a platform that's simple for buyers and powerful for the manager.

Design & User Experience

Interface designed for the Cameroonian market: intuitive mobile navigation, clear product pages with photos and pricing, and a simplified checkout flow for buyers new to online shopping.

React & Django Development

Frontend built in React for fast, fluid browsing. Django backend with a robust REST API managing the catalog, inventory, orders, and users. Custom admin interface for full autonomous management.

Payment & Delivery Integration

Implementation of locally adapted payment options and a delivery management system covering Yaoundé, Douala, and the rest of Cameroon.

Deployment, Training & Launch

Deployment on a secure VPS server, hands-on training for Nassar on his back-office, then official launch with the full product catalog live.
